Live with the landscape.
Homes designed around the terrain, native vegetation and views. Each space begins with what is already there.
Rancho Akar · Living with the landscape
Rural Habitat
A home shaped by the land.
A life with room to breathe.
01 / A way of living
A home that begins
beyond its walls.
Morning light across the hills. A change in the season. A familiar path through the ranch. Rural Habitat is our vision for homes that make these daily encounters part of life.
Gensler’s master plan brings together several residential areas, with homes, paths and open spaces designed as parts of the same landscape.
02 / What makes a home
Closer to the land.
More room to live.
Make time for the everyday.
Morning light, a meal together, the quiet of evening. Room for the small things that make a day your own.
Belong to the ranch.
A home within a working ranch, connected to its agriculture, culture and conservation.
03 / A shared horizon
Life opens out
into the landscape.
Life here is meant to extend beyond the front door—to the vineyard, the trails and the shared places of Rancho Akar.
04 / Living and caring
Belonging to a place
also means caring for it.
Before designing a home, we look at how water moves, what grows and how the soil supports it. That understanding guides the residential plans.
